Hibiscus Double Peach (3 Gal)
The Hibiscus Double Peach (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) is a stunning tropical evergreen shrub known for its voluminous, multi-layered blooms. Unlike the classic single-petal hibiscus, the "Double Peach" features a "flower within a flower" appearance, giving it a lush, ruffled look similar to a carnation or a peony.
Color Soft apricot to warm peach with a deep red/pink throat
Flower Form Double (heavy layers of petals)
Growth Habit Upright, bushy shrub
Hardiness USDA Zones 9–11 (Tropical; must be brought indoors in cooler climates)
Light Full sun is best (6–8 hours). In extremely hot climates, some afternoon shade prevents petal scorch.
Watering Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. They are thirsty plants, especially in containers.
Temperature They love heat. They are not frost-tolerant and should be moved indoors if temps drop below 40F
Soil Well-draining, slightly acidic potting mix with plenty of organic matter.
Fertilizer Use a high-potassium fertilizer (the "K" in N-P-K) during the growing season to encourage those heavy double blooms.
